Jersey Cow!!

Back from Jersey. Another beach holiday. Loved the beaches there. Felt very relaxed. I should agree that Jersey is the most beautiful place I have been to so far! Away from all the hustle bustle here, I felt more peace and calmness in Jersey. I think there is no competition for anything in this island. People live there as if they are on holidays. I didn't see much business around as well. Just a few shops. It wasn't crowded at all in the beaches. May be it is off-season in Jersey. I fell in love with Jersey the moment I saw her. If you look into Jersey with a satellite eye you can see the beautiful cow image. It is one of the Channel Islands located close to France. We went by a ferry and it took just about 3 hrs to reach the island. My first time in a ferry and felt nauseous all the way. Still loved the experience. However next time I would prefer flight to ferry!
The history and culture has been influenced by being so close to France, and so is very different from the UK. The residential areas looked like French colonies to me; the design of houses inspired from French architecture and street names sounded like French (I dont know French, so I am not sure whether it is some other Jersey script or French). Jersey is about 9 miles from west to east and 5 from north to south. So you can imagine how tiny this island is! And that is what makes it more exciting. You just need a short break of 3 or 4 days to enjoy the entire island, an island of amazing diversity. There are beaches for anything and everything; whether it is for a swim, walk, sunbathe, explore or barbecue, Jersey has it all. We enjoyed the glorious golden sand beaches and the rugged clifftops, taking in the stunning views over gorgeous bays.
We got a chance to attend the Sunset concert performed by the band - 'Kevin Pallot and the Pinnacles'. A lovely picnic evening with a fantastic view and excellent music till the sun set. What more do you want?
Finally we had to pack and return to reality. I would love to enjoy the Jersey beauty again, could be another short break!!!
